Carine Doumit obtained a degree in audio-visual studies at the Académie Libanaise des Beaux-Arts (ALBA) in 2005, a Masters in Film Research at the Saint-Joseph University (IESAV) in 2007 and is currently working on her PHD at the University of Paris X, Nanterre. She teaches at IESAV, the Université Antonine and the Lebanese American University (LAU). She has been working as an editor since 2005. She edited commercials, TV shows, corporate and TV documentaries, and short movies. She now focuses on feature-length documentaries (We were communists by Maher Abi Samra, Kingdom of Women by Dahna Abou Rahme, All about my father by Zeina Sfeir). In 2008, she wrote, directed and edited a short film entitled Video 1. Her current documentary project is a continuation of this work, both in content and form.
